I see the 'easier' way is proving quite difficult.
I know I've said this before but maybe it's the time to start considering creating your own environment? Even a very basic one, with some basic physics?
Thought I'd take some time to comment on some pictures. I look here everyday and always get amazed at the quality pictures you guys take, so just wanted to congratulate.
@DWB - Lovely pictures as usual, but that third one is really amazing. Also I could swear Kris was your girlfriend or wife or something...
@mrodgers - Can't wait for them.
@Velociround - That's a big sun.
@spankmeyer - (in a general way) Love your style! Also that website is hilarious.
@diablo21 - Beautiful Mini shot. Quite fun how small it is near a regular car.
@(SaM) - It might be a scary cat, but the picture is awesome!
@Taavi(EST) - How do you take those lightning shots? Keep shooting until it happens? Great stuff as usual!
Oh well there's so many, but you get the idea. Hopefully I'll to enter this 'business' in the next few months as well, but I probably won't be able to get the big sensor stuff.
Great stuff! I was away for a few months and I'm glad my enemies haven't improved at all.
Qualify was pretty crap, but I really didn't try anything. Just set an ok time on my first laps and waited for the start.
I won't repeat what Zeug and Kid already said about our good time together...
Eventually I managed to pass Zeug, and right after I did he got bumped by a GTR, which sucked. My new aim was to catch Kid, but I couldn't find the pace.
Thought it was a good time to pit. Didn't repair or change tyres. I knew it would be tight but it was the only way to get close to him again.
Tried to keep as steady as possible, and had some success on it. Then Kid pitted and rejoined right behind me, with around 30min left. I hit the barriers a few times and was having some annoying understeer on some corners, and after another barrier hitting he passed me. I managed to stay right behind him, hopefully he would screw something up, but then my rear left tyre blew and it was the end (with a couple of spins, reverse driving, parking). That's the price of having 5 laps of practice - had too much camber somewhere and couldn't notice it. Good thing Zeug is very slow or else he would have passed me as well.
All in all I had a lot of fun, so it was worth it. It was a shame Bean0 was promoted to server 1, he would make a fine addition to our little fight.
The next bonus question is up. I don't think there's any way for us to win the Subleague competition, but I'll provide the answer nonetheless.
"The German Formula 1 Grand Prix had a long history at the Nürburgring. For what reason was it not held at the Nürburgring but at Hockenheim in 1970?"
The answer, according to Wikipedia, is "In 1970, after the fatal crash of Piers Courage at Zandvoort, the F1 drivers decided at the French Grand Prix to boycott the Ring unless major changes were made, as they did at Spa the year before. The changes were not possible on short notice, and the German GP was moved to the Hockenheimring which already had been modified."
Congratulations, Spain. The best team of the tournament won it. That's always good.
I expected a few more goals in this final, but I guess it doesn't really matter. It was an ok game, but it's sad to see another abysmal refereeing (specially from a said good referee) and more important, such a dirty play by the orange side.
I said before that it's impossible to cheer for a team that has Van Bommel. Tonight we had another special presentation by his mad skills on how to play in the dirtiest way possible and stay on the field for the entire match. Only this time he had a companion...
Anyway, with a bit stronger defense this Spanish team will become unbeatable. Oh, and with Fabregas playing.
I didn't like the game, expected a lot more... specially from the orange side.
The first goal was a beauty, but it shouldn't happen since Van Bommel fouled a blue player in a red card style seconds earlier. The second was luck, the third was a beauty once again. Good fight from Uruguay... it's all they can do, sadly.
Well done to Holland, but I can't cheer for a team whose midfield has Bommel, one of the dirtiest players I've seen (right there with Portugal's Pepe).
Can't help but think the champion will come from the other side of the table, with a small chance Holland wins over Spain.
I bet no one would have thought Paraguay could tough things up against Spain to the point you have no idea who's going to win... They played brilliantly (to the extend of their limited capacities, of course). That's how you go back home with heads held high (hint hint Brazil...).
Spain will have some homework to do now, if Germany get that kind of defense against them than I can't see how the Spanish can advance to the final. Looks like the white team doesn't care about ball possession, so the red team better find a way to break in quickly or I can see a lot of goals for the Germans again.
By the way: abysmal refereeing once again. Where are the good refs? Why are they being ignored for the really important matches?
I don't understand why people say a team played awful because they lost. Give some credit where it's due. Argentina made a pretty decent match today, apart from a few obvious crap in the defense. It's just that Germany were too good for them today.
Also how had Messi not played well? He hasn't been winning the games by himself, but he played bloody well. Sure we've seem he do better in his club, but he wasn't playing against a 3 times World Champion team for most of the time, was he?
Rant aside, what a solid match by the Germans. Top quality there!
We'll see how it goes against Spain without Müller now. He's a special player.
Edit: Oh, I forgot: LOL Argentina!
Edit2: Another thing: why Di Maria didn't get a yellow for a shameful handballing and Müller got one for a much less obvious foul?
So happy for Uruguay, and kind of sad for Ghana. Everyone fought! To say this team or that team deserved it more is to pick sides, come on it was 50/50 for the most part...
I can't help but think Uruguay went as far as they could, but I guess we'll have to wait their next game to say for sure.
Regarding Suarez: Zeug said it perfectly already: it was cheap, but it did the job. Within the rules.
Heh, I've been saying everytime this can't be our team. It just can't. Some players are just too stupid to be allowed in a World Cup (and I won't even question their football).
Now we can get rid of that moron we call coach, and build a team for 2014.
Well done, Holland. It may be a clear path to the final now.
Our midfield will be broken, it seems. Elano still seems to be injured and his substitute, Ramires, will miss because of a second yellow. Word is Felipe Melo won't recover (yes!!) from Pepe's foul as well.
So it might be Daniel Alves and Josué in the middle, which is not exactly a strong midfield.
I think both teams are even. None had a real challenge yet, none played all they know yet. Friday would be a good opportunity to see what they can do.
